Investigation of possible shortages
Minerals and heavy metal load we do almost in every patient’s intake already. Optional blood tests can also be done for deficiencies in vitamins, amino acids and optionally a fatty acid profile can be made.
Nutrient deficiencies are unfortunately much more common than we think. The nutrition agency would have us believe that if we just eat we can hardly get deficiencies. Unfortunately, our daily practice is different.
Vitamin D, B12, magnesium and zinc are especially deficient in many patients. After all, you are what you can absorb and not what you eat.
