Food hypersensitivity and allergy testing

allergietesten-complimed

There is no such thing as a healthy diet! In fact, it depends on what your body can do with it and whether you can stand it. Foods play a major role in chronic symptoms. In our lifetime, we work away about 50 tons of food. That’s about 50 elephants!

60% of all patients have a food allergy and this seems to be getting worse. The allergy clinics have long waiting lists. Many of my patients have been there before. It usually didn’t result in much except that they either had to learn to live with it, or the immune system was suppressed with medication. Consider corticosteroids.

The classical antibody test, the regular way of testing such as the RAST test and immune IgE tests have limited value and are completely inferior to a test for food hypersensitivity that we use ( imupro).

The food test IgG imupro

Allergy to food produces an “angry” response from the immune system. Think of that immune system as an army of soldiers, whose leadership has run away. The soldiers panic and shoot at “everything. An inflammatory and often increased histamine reaction occurs.

But beware, there are many tests type igG in circulation that are not recommended. It only confuses you further because far too many positive results are found. The Imupro is a good validated test, though.

An (immunological/allergic) reaction to food can lead to a wide range of symptoms.

It is advisable to start with the :

  • imupro basic in which 90 types of food ( about 180 euros) are tested through your blood. If there are many responses then it is advisable to pay a portion extra and then do the heavier imupro, or
  • If there are not many reactions to be expected immediately you can choose the scan with 40 kinds of food ( cost about 100 euros)
  • there is an imupro vega
  • imupro 300 ( 270 comments)

Now why is it so hard to figure out for yourself what you can’t stand?

The complaint is often not linked to food allergy. For example, who thinks of headache to an intolerance? And especially: the reaction is late, sometimes days after eating….So you quickly link that Friday’s banana as the “culprit” when it may have been due to Monday’s strawberries.

Not infrequently I see people who no longer dare to eat anything. They avoid everything and limit their diet to a few things they do dare to eat. That’s wrong! First, deficiencies ( deficiencies in vitamins & minerals) and, on the contrary, increased permeable gut ( see leaky gut) develop so quickly.

Food allergy is an abnormal reaction of the immune system, in which specific defenses are made in the body against certain allergens in food. The antibodies that are formed are called immunoglobulins or IgG.

An immunological reaction will not occur immediately the first time one eats the food to which one is allergic.

Only after some time and multiple contacts with the allergen in question does the immune system produce antibodies or immunoglobulins against that allergen, often still without noticeable symptoms. However, with repetitions, the immune system will recognize the allergen as an “offender” and an allergic reaction follows. Only then do complaints become noticeable. It is impossible to tell in advance what symptoms one will get, it is individually determined. Also, the same food lures other reactions in certain individuals in different systems of the body.

Indications:

  • intestinal complaints:
  • all intestinal problems cramps, bloating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, malabsorption syndrome
  • enteritis: ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s * (IBS)irritable bowel syndrome
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • neurological Hyperactivity, difficulty concentrating, epilepsy,
  • skin complaints: eczema, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, lupus
  • respiratory complaints: asthma, sinus complaints, sneezing, coughing, wheezing
  • psychological disorders, – depression
  • migraine*, headache, fatigue, vertigo
  • inflammation: inflammation, cancer, arthritis
  • autoimmune disease: diabetes
  • all chronic diseases
  • disorders of fine motor skills
  • Overweight , adiposity * studies available,

Can food allergy type IgG pass?

The immune system will always remain alert for determinate foods. However, by avoiding them for some time, depending on the severity of the reaction, one can usually reintroduce the food over time.

Can I do this myself?

It is highly inadvisable to experiment on your own. In our experience, people start to keep certain foods out of the diet and eat far too one-sided foods. There is then a danger of becoming deficient in certain nutrients and weakening. Or the one-sided diet may cause another allergy to foods that one then eats (too) frequently.

After all, many people have a more or less leaky gut (leaky gut) that must first be repaired with a gut protocol.

This is what Complimed specializes in.

How is testing done?

The imupro is always through blood. For the small imupro ( up to 90 kinds of food) you can be pricked immediately in Weert at my place.

If necessary, further testing for additional 180 IgG allergens can be done in consultation to complement the picture.

*: IgE allergy tests are included in the basic package.
*: 90 IgG allergens are NOT reimbursed.

What can I expect in a treatment?

You always get an intake interview first in which you tell us what complaints are plaguing you.

Immediately that same day, you will be tested in the same building.

After about 3 weeks you will come back and the results will be discussed with you and an initial treatment and food recommendation will be made.

Depending on how severe your symptoms are, you then follow at least 4 more sessions spread over several months to a year. It all depends on your complaint and whether multiple organs are involved.

You will find that you usually start to feel better very soon.

What does testing and treatment cost?

The test is done through LHM lab, your practitioner does not earn anything from it, you will receive a form from the lab with a direct debit.

The imupro 100 (90 allergens) costs approx. € 180,–

Furthermore, you pay for the consultation time in which a specific recommendation is worked out for you with the corresponding resources ordered for you immediately. Of course, this is done in consultation with you.

Consultations preferably satisfy cash.

Demonstration of IgG antibodies to food components in blood

The ImuPro is a diagnostic test, which detects IgG antibodies to antigenic components from food. If IgG antibodies are present in the serum, this indicates the presence of an immunological reaction, food allergy type 3 (popularly known as food intolerance).

The test was developed in 2000 using the latest diagnostic technologies by the R-Biopharm AG in Darmstadt and is produced there under the strict criteria of the German Artzneimittelgesetzes (AMG).

The processing of the test is done in the laboratory of LHM in Eindhoven.

Note: there are several websites that claim it is not elisa. Well: the IgG antibodies are measured with an ELISA on the DSX (fully automated ELISA processing equipment), the standards are referenced to the WHO albumin standard. The kits are CE (for diagnostic purposes) approved and are made by R-Biopharm, a very reputable German company that markets a very wide range of diagnostic tests.
The imupro300 consists of 3 plates with 96 cutouts for testing. Each plate contains cutouts for standards and internal controls. Analyses are performed by qualified MLO and HLO clinical analysts.
The analysis method is used in 21 countries.
Ring tests (testing of unknown samples) are used to ensure quality.
The analysis has been used in several studies, blind, placebo controled, confirming the theories below.
Such as the relationship headache, migraine and IgG, the improvement of Crohn agv nutritional modification based on IgG results, childhood obesity (research in Graz).

Do not be misled by statements that one cannot substantiate.

Importance of IgG antibodies

The demonstration of high concentrations of IgG antibodies indicates regular contact between food and immune system cells. Antibodies bind to the food antigens and thus mark themselves as foreign to the body under formation of an immune complex. The immune complex is then processed through descending inflammatory processes. These processes take place continuously and are the cause of a multitude of chronic diseases.

Once the foods responsible for this have been identified by the ImuPro, the patient can begin to adjust their diet. A comprehensive report, determined from the laboratory examination, gives him guidance. Also included with the imuPro 300 is a recipe collection, featuring only tolerable foods.

Indications

ImuPro is used by many physicians for unclear therapeutic complaints.

Chronic diarrhea, constipation, ulcerative colitis, IBS

Stomach acid, ulcer, hernia diafragmatica

CVS

Headache/Migraine (study available)

Rheumatic problems

Autism

Childhood obesity (study available)

Relationship to Adiposity

Self-perpetuating inflammatory processes lead to the release of inflammatory mediators. An important role in this plays the tumor necrosis factor, TNF-a. The natural function of TNF-a, when tumors arise, is to limit the energy supply of derailed cells.

Over binding to insulin receptors prevents the transport of blood sugar into cells. High concentrations of TNF-a then leads to the development of insulin resistance, thus promoting adiposity.

Food groups

The various foods, e.g. vegetables, fruits, meat, fish etc are all listed separately. You will also find the result of each value on a summary. In other words, each individual value is reported in ug/ml IgG.

Presentation of results

In addition to the above individual values, for simplification, each food is classified. Under a statistically determined cutoff value, the food is classified as follows:
– Class 0 means there is no hypersensitivity against the food, no restrictions.
– Class 1 – 2 means that there is a low to moderate reaction against the nutrients in question, should be avoided.
– Class 3 – 4 there is a strong to very strong reaction against the nutrients in question, should be strictly avoided.

Food needs 3-4 days to pass through the intestinal system, you may eat the same food again after 5 days (5-day rotation principle). If this fails once, it is not a disaster either, but follow the rotation principle as closely as possible.

Target

reducing IgG stimulation and reducing IgG titer
preventing new hypersensitivities
preventing nutrient deficiencies
minimizing the risk of accumulation of environmental toxins

And with children?

1 in 10 babies already appears to have neurodermatitis or a food intolerance often induced by inhalation, so a pollen reaction which is often also associated with a hypersensitivity to wheat. Soy and peanut sensitivity are also increasing in children. I ask my patients to take their gut flora seriously in pregnancy. Through the influence of good bacteria and the avoidance of substances to which the mother is not resistant, much has already been gained. Getting enough minerals and vitamins is, of course, a must. As well as a good fish oil.

Histamine Intolerance Test
Method for measuring the histamine-degrading enzyme diamine oxidase.
Histamine is indispensable to the human body because it performs many vital functions. It is produced by the body but also absorbed in variable amounts with the diet. Problems arise only in the case of excessive (excessive) concentrations of histamine or undegraded histamine. In these cases, the histamine will lead to allergic and pseudoallergic reactions.
Histamine intolerance is caused by a (temporary) deficiency or inhibition of the enzyme diamine oxidase (DAO). DAO is the enzyme responsible for the breakdown of histamine. Although DAO is found throughout the body, the gut harbors the most important and active site of action. The enzymatic activity of DAO determines the degradation rate of histamine. If a DAO deficiency/inhibition (inhibition) is present, the organism cannot break down histamine absorbed through food or released from body cells quickly enough, and a histamine intolerance exists.
